Does anyone know how long an Esthetician school program runs? I'm currently enrolled in a medical program in college and was wondering if I could pull off taking night classes to do some part time work.

It really all depends on the school your going to be going to because depending on which state you're in, the required hours are different. Here in NY (where I went) the requirement is 600 hours and I was a full time student took me about 5 plus some months. Hope that helped!

Thanks so much! I'm in Pennsylvania and I believe it said 300 hours are needed? That may be wrong but I just quickly read over some information

I don't get American laws. In England we all have to do the same amount of hours when were in college. If you do an independent course then you do what their schools says. But that's if you're paying for the course. College is free here 😊👊

@Traci-I'd be going part time if I decided to do it, did you feel overwhelmed going part time?

It wasn't that bad just take good notes so you can study from them instead of having to go back thru the whole book

I'm already a full time student in a medical program at Penn State, since you've been through it do you really think it's realistic to attempt both at the same time?
