What are some good brands that for sure don't test on animals or buy ingredients from companies that do? I have noticed a lot of major brands do like covergirl and I'm looking for some good ones that don't test on animals are cruelty free...environmentally friendly is good too :) I'm also wondering does anyone know if mac tests on animals :( any help is appreciated!

That's awesome of you to be doing that! It feels like I can't trust any brands anymore. I try to purchases natural, local handmade products when I can, which you can find at a local health food store and as for drugstore and popular brands; I know that Nivea, Burt's Bees, flower beauty, hard candy, physician's formula, the body shop and moroccanoil don't test on animals or claim not to but I'm not sure about the ingredients. You rock:) xo.

Too Faced doesn't at all! That's really the only brand I know of. I would have to research it more though.

Go to http://features.peta.org/cruelty-free-company-search/index.aspx and search. They also have a list of cruelty free companies but I find it easier to search and see before I buy something.

I know mac use animal ingredients..e.g in most of the lipsticks if you check you will see carmine. Carmine is a red insect that is killed and used for the red pigment in most lipsticks. There's more info on google. I had to throw all my mac lipsticks away :( Just because I know during the day some lipstick goes into my mouth and I wasnt comfortable with ingesting such products no matter how minute it may be. I'm still on the hunt for completely vegan lipsticks.
