I don't think you are allergic to meat but maybe it was a shock to your system or some spices in the.meat. Or something completely different.

I break out like that when I use certain kinds of detergents or lotions or something. My skin is super sensitive. Have you changed anything like soap, lotion, body wash, or detergents recently?

I did use to use a body wash a month ago and recently started using it again. could that be it?

It's not itchy at all. Also the skin there is completely smooth if that makes a difference.

It might be your body wash. Is your skin usually sensitive?

Maybe it's time to get a new razor? I think maybe your razor is old and probably irritated your skin

My face is the only sensitive skin and I don't shave my hip area.

Ok this might should weird but I used to get something almost exactly like this on the insides of my arms after particularly hard volleyball practices- reddish purple dots, smooth skin- and I think it's because some tiny blood vessels broke because of the pounding of the ball against my arms. They healed in like three days. Did anything similar happen to you? I know it's weird

Well a lot of the time, is your face is sensitive, then the rest of your skin is sensitive too, but to different stuff because our face gets a crap load of products put on it. Our hips, not so much

No lol nothing like that happened to me and if it was allergy how long should it take to go away? Also, should I be concerned?
Feb 2, 2014
Kaite P.
Mine breakouts just go away in about 1-2 weeks max. If it's longer than that then maybe you should get it checked out.

It looks like something called a macular rash, that is a rash with flat red spots that doesn't ich and it is a allergic reaction to something, could be something you ate or put on they usually clear up within two weeks if not you should see a dermatologist

Traci to the rescue!! Lol! I'm thinking that since it is on your hips and thighs, could it be because of your pants? I might be talking crazy here (as usual) but it could even be an allergy to your detergent.

We've used the same detergent since I was a baby so I doubt that's it haha.

Ok. I'm going out on a limb here. My husband gets this every once in awhile. On his hips right where the waist of his pants hit in the cold weather only. Raised red bumps turns dry feels colder there than, say, on your tummy. I don't know why it happens but when it does I rub in Aveeno Excema therapy moisture lotion and he uses Aveeno shower oil in the shower after washing. It helps tremendously. Sometimes he uses Vaseline rubbed in too.
