You can use a wand and then run your fingers through your hair.
The last time I curled my hair I feel I could have gotten this look if my hair was longer. But it's not lol. I used a 25mm barrel

Yes it's a wand. What you do is put the wand on the one higher then what you think the girl needs, put a light coat if hairspray, rap around the wand tightly, hold for about 10 to 20 seconds and then catch the curl in your hand. The picture is what it will look like without brushing through
