I just stopped bitting my nails a couple months ago and I wanna grow my nails long and I was just wondering if pushing my cuticles back helps grow them faster or makes it grow slower.

It helps keep them healthy so it will help them grow a little. A strengthening nail treatment will also make a big difference.

Doubt pushing your cuticles back will make them grow faster

I really like butter London's horse tail treatment. It's pretty pricy but it works and is gluten free, which I have to use. I think most nail brands make them, Opi has a ton of different formulas.

It's good to push back your cuticles, soften them first with a cuticle remover
It makes your nails healthy, so in a way it will help them grow faster :)

Taking biotin daily will help hair and nail growth, plus it will make your nails hella strong

Maybe try O.P.I 's nail strengthener, Nail Envy. I really like it, and it's made a difference in my nails as they were quite weak and brittle. It's just a clear polish. And pushing the cuticles back will help a bit and also make your nails look a little more polished.
Hope this helps!

No, if it,s done properly it isn,t bad. It helps to remove dead skin cells. Apply oil on cuticles, hold for 5 minutes and then soak your hands in warm water for 5-7 minutes and then push the cuticles with a bamboo stick (45 degrees angle). Then moisturize :-)

Hi ladies. I've been getting my nails done in a salon for about 4 months now. I go every 3 to 4 weeks to have acrylics done. Not the tips, just the acrylic powder. Do I need to give them a break? Can't I just keep having them done? Love you all, your advice is invaluable X

Hannah, acrylic makes it hard for your nails to breathe, so a break would be good. If you ever decide to stop wearing them then your nails will be really weak and soft.

Nails are dead cells, they don,t need to breathe. of course the part of nail which was covered with acryl will be damaged, but the new growing will be ok. So it,s up to You. But you may give them a break like twice in a year to avoid infections:-)
