Try lining your lips in the color you want then brushing some loose foundation on it then line again and then put your lipstick on. Also make sure your drinking plenty of water so your lips don't flake

I definitely agree with lining your lips before you apply your lipstick. I would also suggest dusting you lips with setting powder. I really like MUFE HD Microfinish Powder.

so is a sealant not really necessary? whenever I wear lipstick its always a bold colour, if I eat/drink/lick my lips I have to reapply it, which without looking like a loonie in public is not ideal, will powdering the lips stop that? or is it just the curse of the lipstick wearer?xx

you could try lipcote. you can get it from boots or superdrug. I swear by it as I wear very dark colours which rub off easily.

I line my lips, then apply the lipstick from the tube, then go back with a lip brush then

ladies I used your tips yesterday and had a truly dark red lip on, the powder did mattify it a bit but wow for the difference in staying power! knew I could trust you to help!! thankyouuuu!

I use to use Benefit Shelaq
