What are your thoughts on face cleansing with Dove's unscented bar soap? (The plain white one) do you think it'll damage or be bad for your skin?

Use the Shea butter kind, it's from dove and it works great!

Yah I do kind of see where it can be drying. I just needed an emergency alternative and it's all I had. Thanks for the advice tho!

I would never use that. I'm a stickler for good skin care

I definitely wouldn't recommend. The skin on your face is very delicate than the rest of your body. Dove is not meant for your face.

I think the bar is bad for your skin. I even used to use their sensitive bodywash a few years ago and it irritated my back chest area and dried my skin out. If you want to use a bar, I would recommend the Cetaphil bar, or the Purpose Gentle Cleansing bar.

It would actually work great for some people coming from an esthatician stand point.
I use really good cleanser on my fave but love the dove bar for my body.

I think it's good for younger kids. If you've been using nice cleansers for a while your skin is probably a bit dependent on the extra oomph

Oh no!!! Girl, leave that bar in the shower for your body! Its great for a quick fix in case you ran out of your usual facial cleanser but as your everyday cleanser...no. The ingredients are just too harsh for the face. Cameron R mentioned using Cetaphil bar or the Purpose Gentle Cleansing bar....great alternatives. I personally used the Purpose bar and it was great for me.

It makes my skin raw and hot, too. Avon Skin So Soft shower gel is my favorite thing to use. Even on my face.
