Oh my gosh I seriously understand what you mean! I haven't found a good foundation yet. But I don't really have a high budget too! I've heard L'Oreal lumi!!

I have really really dry skin and I use the Tarte 24 hour clay foundation. it's really natural, has no ingredients that would cause breakouts. it's pretty pricey 38 dollars I believe but it's soon worth it. Plus it's full coverage. My favorite drugstore foundation is the Revlon ColorStay Foundation , it's medium coverage but very build able. I get the normal dry skin version. I recommend buffing the foundation very lightly.

For drug store I love my Loreal Lumi foundation. Netrogenas healthy skin make is similar. make sure you protect your skin by using a primer. Cover FX has excellent primers as they are free of gluten and dairy and other factors contributing to skin break outs. For high end I ADORE and I meant it is beautiful... Tarte's Amazonian Clay AIr brushed Mineral Foundation powder. It blends beautifully and really looks air brushed. Urban decay naked skin foundation is also lovely on dry skin. Nars sheer glow works beautifully as well. Stick to foundations that are dewy, or sheer.
