Hello beautiful,
Finally got my Clairsonic Mia in the mail. My beautylish ladies convinced me to get it. Hopefully this will clear up my milia (special thanks to Traci. I now know it's not acne.) Any tips or advice from you ladies who own the Clairsonic?

Feel free to share ❤️

Xoxo,
Lola Symone

The one thing I have to constantly remind myself with my Clarisonic is that I DON't have to press it hard into my face. Remember to just gently put it to your skin, because the pulses/rotations do all the work for you, so don't feel like you have to scrub :)

@Megan. I call it baby acne. Those little bumps that you usually see on babies' faces. That's what I have. I have seen some harsh cases online. But mine are tiny flesh toned bumps (like what babies have) that I have to exfoliate to get rid of.

Happy to help :) I had a lot of blackheads (and now I'm starting to think I have millia as well), and it's really helped to even the texture of my skin :)

I also had milia all over my forehead. My derm gave me Retin A which COMPLETELY made it disappear in literally 2-3 weeks. I spent so much money on products that never worked. Exfoliating evened the texture but it didnt prevent new ones or get rid of the current bumps. I highly recommend asking your dermatologist about Retin A. If you would like more information about my skincare routine {oily combo skin btw} and the other product prescribed to me from my derm just tell me. :)

Good luck with your Clairsonic, I was looking into getting one as well.

Thanks Katarina! I was looking into that too. I have a very mild case so I was hoping exfoliating would work first. Then try that. You think retinol A (over the counter kind) would work too?

I had milia all over my forehead and the clarisonic got rid of it within a week or two for me personally. I suggest that you be as gentle as possible, wash the brush head once a week thoroughly, and always buy the most sensitive brush head (which you are supposed to change out every 3 months, but I wait 5-6 because it gets expensive). Good luck!

I'm sure it would work just as well. Definitely look into it if the Clairsonic doesn't work though. I don't even get acne anymore. No problem girl! :)

Thanks Sloane and Katarina. Hopefully this works, if not, I will definitely look into the retin A.

Did you ever read about the Foreo Luna??

Symone B.

@ Sara, short answer: yes. I did a post on it before. http://www.beautylish.com/t/ruawsz/clarisonic-really-acne-free
they cost $125 but I got mine for $87. It was on sale on Lovelyskin.com

@kitty, I did read your post on it. But I saw that clairsonic 30% off on sale and I could NOT pass that up lol

I have DDF's take on this. My advice would be to be very gentle and avoid the delicate eye area.

Hmmm..I was under the impression this spun as a brush for an at home microderm abrasion. Now I need to look up how this works! lol.

Thanks Rozberry 💋

@Rozberry Nope it doesn't spin!! Just pulses. It looks like its spinning but it pulses and moves back and fourth. It provides exfoliation but nowhere near that of microderm abrasion. There is a device for that though, by a different company.

@Symone Yay! I'm excited for you!! My advice is along the lines of what others have said; keep in mind you only need to touch it to your face lightly. It literally does all the work for you, there's no need to grind it in lol. Wash the brush head a couple times a week with something that has antibacterial. I just use hand soap and rinse it thoroughly. Another thing is that when I got mine, the girl I talked to at Sephora advised me to always charge it in the same position. Like if you charge it face up, always keep it in that position any other time you charge it, same if you charge it on its side. Something to do witg the charger getting out of whack or something.
