Yes & no. Some items they are great at while others you can find better elsewhere. When it comes to makeup and skincare its all so subjective. What works for one person may not work for another. If you're curious about something its always best to try it out for yourself first.

Some things are. Just like all other brands. Mac is actually not as expensive as some items at Sephora or other high end counters.

To me, MAC is a major step up from drugstore makeup, but a step or so down from lines like Lancôme, Dior, MUFE, smash box, etc

Yeah, I think that MAC is a middle ground area, somethings are amazing, like their lipsticks, eye shadows, mineralized skin finishes and brushes. But I think that their foundations are hit and miss, I liked the coverage, but they really broke me out, and mascara is a no go as well. But everyone has their faves. You'll know just by experimenting with it. The worst part of MAC is dealing with snooty counter ladies. That part I do not like at all.

I am a huge advocate for MAC. A lot of their products are amazing with great colour payoff and a real sense of "what you see is what you get" in a good way. The colour is the pan is 99% of the time the colour that it transfers as, though some can be deceiving. The real problems start when you look into their limited edition makeup. This is where they rush because they have so many collections released during the year that they need to be quick about the process and therefore turn out a little less desireable than their permanent range.
I will always buy MAC, for it's price it is exceptional quality.

MAC is not even comparable to high end brands. When people talk so highly about their cosmetic knowledge and how much they worship MAC, it sounds so ignorant. The only perk of MAC is their easily viewable shadows and their broad arrangements of colors. But the quality is missing for me, in all of their products.

I used to love MAC and would still with mostly their products when looking to buy new makeup. I haven't purchased anything in awhile from them because I feel like drugstores brands have stepped up their game and are comparable and some products are better (mascaras, foundations, etc..) Plus it's fun to run to the drugstore late at night for something new rather than having to wait until the next day to head to the mall :P

I think MAC is worth the price if they have what you need and/or want. As with all brands you have hits and misses. When it comes to items like lipsticks and eye products, I think they are worth it for me.

No I regret every cent ( and it was alot) I spent on Mac products I over the years I used them. But if your going to anyway avoid the foundation and blushes, you can still have some fun with some of the lip products, shadows and eyeliners though.

I don't think it's worth the money e cause now you can find upped for Mac for a lot cheaper and the quality of most dupe is a lot more pigmented. For example, Mac shroom, cork, and naked launch can be found in the wet n wild trio walking on eggshell. I find that the wet n wild one was a lot more pigmented than Mac and the color doesn't fade at all from the time you put it on to the time you take it off. But hey everyone is difference. You should try one and be the judge yourself.

Omg @sara b hit the nail on the head for me! Lol. MAC products are not that great and it drives me nuts when people rave bout them like they are the highest quality ever made! I do like some of their lipsticks & a few skin products but the eyeshadows & blushes just don't do it for me. 😒

I think so. MAC products are unbeatable in quality. Their pigmentation is AMAZING.
