Does Hest Protectant really save your hair from split ends?

Some do, some don't. Just like certain bb creams are better. Tresseme (however you spell it) has a well loved one. It's basically steams off your hair, taking excess heat with it:)

Some heat proctors only work upto 180 degrees so if you are putting less heat on it it will help but not completely prevent damage :)

Not really save. youll most likely still get split ends, just not as many. and it helps not strip your hairs natural oils while straightening.

Nothing can actually save your split ends but heat protectors protect your hair from seriously damaging your hair so it is good to use it :) for split ends I recommend silicon drops or anykind of nurturing oil :)

No it doesn't prevent spilt ends, nothing really does when you are using heat on your and also depending on how healthy your hair is too. But not using a heat protectant for your hair is horrible, it doesn't fully prevent heat damage but it definitely helps it. I can tell a huge difference when I forget to use one. As for split end repair products, Nexxus pro mend is amazinggg I have used it before styling hair with heat (like before blow drying when my hair is wet/damp) and then also after using my flat iron.
