My little sister has had good luck with the Murad acne line, you can get it at Sephora. I have a toner from them, it works like a charm.

I like the Clinique acne solutions line. I use the cleanser on problem areas and they almost instantly feel and look better.

That stuff is awful for your skin.^ first of all, it's way too harsh for most skin types, and it can cause micro tears in your skin's surface. That normally causes cell turnover, but in this case it's awful because those tears are a bacteria breeding ground and can actually make your acne worse.

@Hannah out of curiosity what about the green tea one?
Jan 21, 2014
Hannah K.
Honestly, I'm unsure. The reason being that I'm not sure what the base is. The base on the other one is apricot, so it has pieces of shell and such in it. I'm not sure if the green tea one is the same, but a little research never hurts :)

Http://chriskresser.com/nutrition-for-healthy-skin-silica-niacin-vitamin-k2-and-probiotics I suggest you read this. Silica is a nutrient that your skin and body need :)

Thanks a lot:) One last question: once some time ago I asked about exfoliators and you recommend Peter Thomas Roth. Should I get their botanical buffing beads?
Jan 21, 2014
Hannah K.
That's what I have, and I like it. The beads are good because they exfoliate without being harsh on your skin :) I do recommend it for sure, but everyone's skin is different, and while it usually doesn't hurt to try I can't guarantee that it'll work perfectly for you, though it's an awesome product! :) (that's a convoluted way of saying yes, if it's something you're interested in!) and I'm very happy to help!

I love the Bioré Pore Unclogging Scrub! It's hardly a scrub because it's so gentle but it's my favorite cleanser of all time.

@Lauren the green tea one isn't harsh for your skin at all. I use it and unlike the apricot one, it doesn't feel sharp. Both aren't typical cleansers though. They're more like scrubs.

PHisohex has cleared up my skin amazingly! I still get 2-3 pimples every now and then but other than that, my skin has never looked better! Seriously a HG product for me :)

I like cetaphil as well! I don't have much acne though. I use the gentle cleanser one (: its really gentle on your skin and is for all skin types. I'm not sure if it will work though depending on how much acne you have and etc (:
