Microdermabrasion will help get rid of it. You can also use a lightening cream with it.

I was wondering about the makeup will it make it worse in the long run

I use Mary Kay's microdermabrasion kit! It's seriously the best things I have used especially since it's a great way to exfoliate those dead skin cells off of your face. After I use that I put on Clinique's Even Better Dark Spot corrector. (I just got ride of terrible cystic acne. And my face has gone through so much in this last year when I developed acne once going off birth control.) But seriously I've only been using these things for about a week and a half now and I see a dramatic difference in my face. My redness has lightened, and those ice pick scars have diminished more then I thought they would!

& as far as makeup making your scars worse. No way! Now if you're breaking out from your makeup. That can lead to scars if the pimple is a cyst or if you try popping it and picking at it. A non-comedogenic, paraben-free, and oil free shouldn't make you breakout causing pimples that's end in scars.

@ Lauren I got told today that by having those type of scars and using makeup they will become bigger and deeper. The weird part is I only get acne on my right cheek.

@ Lauren I was in shock when I got told. I'm like that's the reason I wear makeup because of the acne scarring I have.

Oh my gosh!! I didn't know that! My beauty advisor (works for clinique) has never mentioned that to me since I have the same problem as you. I'm not completely sure if using a primer is the reason she encourages makeup. I use a primer that sort of fills in the dents and honestly my scars haven't gotten worse but better.

Also I've noticed if I don't wash my pillow cases at least once a week I will end up with acne on my left side, since that's the side I sleep on.

I use a primer also but doesn't help in filling the dents. What products do you use that you're getting results
