I have chronic chapped lips, I get it from my dad. The things that work for me are Carmax, Kiss Me by Philosophy, and Baby Lips. Stay away from beeswax ie. Burt's Bee, it's drying.

baby lips from maybelline has worked for me, it makes my lips super soft, u can also use a bit of vaseline, a tablespoon of honey, and 2 teaspoons of sugar mixed to exfoliate the dead skin

Exfoliation is one of the best things you can do for chapped lips! My 1 day remedy for even the worst chapped lips is a good scrub. It's a lot simpler than people make it out to be with all of these home made scrubs and such. I make it part of my skin care routine at least once a week! I steam my face, (you can do this before or after cleansing your skin, however i would definitely do it before moisturizing) and once my pores are open i take my Clarisonic facial cleanser and run it under some hot water and begin to exfoliate my entire lip area. If you don't have a special tool like this, a nice gentile scrub with a tooth brush works wonders as well! Once you've gotten all of the dead skin off immediately apply you favorite lip balm. Nothing too heavy, because you need to allow the fresh skin to breath. I personally use a lip plumper at this point, because it increases blood flow to the lips, increases collagen, and most importantly- most good lip plumpers contain tiny microspheres that allow water molecules to get into the tissue of the lips thus equaling major freshness and moisturization! My go to gloss is Smashbox's O-Plump. It's pretty magical! I'm not sure about the exact science behind it all, but this is the method that works amazingly for me! You get almost instant results! Good luck! Hope i helped!
