I always read and hear people say that Pure Coconut Oil works!

It is impossible to rid of them completely, however you can fade them using various methods. First method is through creams and oils, for example bio oil, these have to be used one a daily basis to see any results, you should start noticing fading after about a month but everyone is different. Another way is through derma-rolling, you can purchase derma-rollers on eBay for very cheap, they roll over the skin and are covered in thousands of microneedles that cause blood to rush to the surface of the skin to renew skin cells, I have just started it and the pain is very minimal, I recommend using a 1mm needle length at first and once you get comfortable move to 2mm. now I do not recommend doing this everyday!! I think a couple times a month, the skin needs to heal before you do it again. I find using the roller along with the oils/creams gives me the fastest results. The last way is laser surgery, this is the most expensive yet most affective treatment, sadly research has told me that it isnt safe for women of colour. If you hav any questions, go ahead and ask.

I disagree that coconut oil works in all respect because I've tried and it really didn't work. However bio oil has helped and got rid of stretch marks on my friends moms! :) I always recommend bio oil for stretch marks and scars :)

Bio oil will help to reduce the appearance but they are there forever and much less noticeable than you probably think they are to other people. Once they fade they aren't too bad and nearly everyone gets some somewhere on their body - try not to let it get to you if it's upsetting x

Mama mio tummy rub butter or oil is suppose to work wonders! I'm not sure how long it takes, I haven't used it personally but I have clients that love it.

Hate to say it but bio oil and coconut will not do anything for stretch marks. as for mederma there are many conflicting studies but I'd imagin it would not. now what will help...a perscrition tretinoil can help a little but for best result needs to be applied when they first show. chemical peels from a derm not the weaker aha kind or laser treatments. beyond that there is no cream or potion that will help. just a note after a while the red from the strech marks will fade and be a bit lighter so it won't be as noticeable.

I used Strivectin for my stretch marks from having my son and I was amazed how well it worked. They were red and it faded them to just skin tone. It's pricey but I was pleased with the results.

I definitely suggest red light therapy! I've seen the results with my own eyes before anyone says anything :) Red light is the highest visible light ray, it accelerates the skins healing by penetrating the bottom of the skins dermis layer and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin proteins. It increases the skins metabolism of healthy oxygen and nutritional molecules. It's great for anti aging and skin rejuvenation, and also helps in fading sun spots and hyper pigmentation by stimulating the skins cells vitality and permeability. Red light is like a non invasive, non surgical Botox ;)
It helps the ski maintain the elasticity and firmness while refining it's texture and smoothing lines and wrinkles. It firms, tones, and increases skins elasticity, minimizes wrinkles, deep furrows, crows feet, fine lines, improves skin tone, and restores skin clarity, improves acne prone skin by killing bacteria, helps irregular pigmentation, reduces age spots or sun spots, minimizes pores and stimulates skin cell metabolic functions.

I have a hand held light devise. I've also heard good things about the stronger light you can have professionaly done. I haven't heard of it for strech marks but I'm definitely going to look into it see what some research says. thanks Brittany
