As you know I colored my hair yesterday without bleaching and altho results were good I would still like more turquoise than green. how long vs. I leave bleach on for.

Check it every 10 mins or so, depending on how light you want it. I've kept it in mine for over an hour (I know that's bad). Also you can add heat if it doesn't say not to which will help.

Look into splat too.. They are more permanent colors so you don't have to touch up as often

Do they have a hot topic where you live?

If the hair is already bleached under the color it prob won't take long to get most of the color out. Soap cap works pretty good without being too harsh if your hair has had a lot of bleach already.

Found this, maybe it'll help:
I'm a licensed hair stylist and I can tell you what a soap cap consists of and how it works. soap cap formula is typically equal parts of devolper, lightener (bleach etc... ) and shampoo.
example: 1 oz 20 volume developer + 1 oz bleach + 1 oz shampoo.
add a little water to the hair (this process usually done at the shampoo bowl ) and apply your mixture on desired area, emulsifying it through and lathering up the suds.
this process will give you 1-2 levels of lift , typically doesn't lift more since you are diluting your usual bleach formula with shampoo and water.
the amount of time this solution is left on your hair varies on how fast your hair allows the solution to pull up the color on your hair. anywhere from 10 to 30 min on average. sometimes more or less. just make sure you keep an eye on it so it doesn't lift TOO light. then it will be harder for your newly lifted hair to accept the color you arre about to put on

I have to bleach mine to go any bright color since it's naturally black. I was going to tell Erica if they have a hot topic where she lives, the best bleach I've ever used is called white out. You use heat on it. Almost got my hair white with it.

Lol welcome back =) I wanna see pictures when you are done bleaching it. It seems any blue based color is hard to get out. That why my husband helped for our wedding. I had some crazy color is it and we were doing hot tomali in a normal dye lol it was rough.

I didn't think it'd be that hard to get considering it is a semi permanent color and with the orange it came out like nothing...weird.

Wow see I don't use semi. The beyond the zone I bought to try was and that faded quick so I went back to trusty ol splat. I'll be putting the splat pink fetish on when my blue starts fading. Splathaircolor.com you should seriously look into it, they are bright long lasting colors. I believe they have semi permanent and hair chalk.
