Has anyone tried the new formula for Proactiv? It's called Proactiv Plus and is said to be more hydrating and will diminish dark spots and illuminate skin. Has anyone out there, tried this? If so, what are your thoughts and experiences? I don't need any info or feedback on the original Proactiv products, but will welcome comparison. Thank you, in advance :)

I have. I thought it would work miracles but, it didn't. I don't know if your acne is hormonal but, mine is. however just because it was a miss for me does not mean it will be a miss for you. there were many threads about proactiv one thing I do agree is that once you stop it.. you will break out even more. I am now seeing a dermatologist and he is putting me on spironolactone before making the step of Accutane. I also have a lot of redness and dark spots and it absolutely nothing for it. it did keep my skin hydrated though good luck!! :)

Yes, mine is totally hormonal and I did minimize the usage in the last few months. Maybe I should just see a derm. I heard accountant really dries out your skin :(

Hope, I don't know about the new version but I didn't care for the old one. if your looking for something for acne, dark marks and to brighten skin. aha and bha acids, vitiamin c serums and retin-a are all fantastic. Accutane is an option but if you did see a derm they would most likely try other options first. other antibiotics and a script for some kind or retinoid.

Danny C is on point with her suggestion. I second her advice. You mentioned experiencing hormonal acne Hope. I was going thru the same thing along my jawline and I started taking flaxseed pills and after a month I noticed some clearing up. Flaxseed contains Omega 3's that are super beneficial to the skin. Its worth seeing if it will work for you before sink a ton of money into additional skincare products.

Proactiv worked for some people I know! but I think that all depend on your skin type! http://antiskinproblems.com/truth-about-proactive-reviews/
