purple burgundy rich color. any input on caring for red toned hair? how long did it last you? does it fade to a decent color or does it fade to a horrible color? these are the thoughts running through my mind haha :-) (this pic isn't me. its a random pic from here and I love the color)

It doesn't fade if you take care of it. I have the colour you want now and I use delorenzo red shampoo just to make sure it stays rich. Plus Morrocan or argon oil really helps with damaged and split ends!! :)

My faded really fast, but it depends on your hair. use sulfate free shampoo, with cool water. Try not washing your hair often if you can, it helps.

Personally, I love having auburn burgundy-ish hair. fast fading is a given. I usually have to color every 4 to 5 weeks. if you use high end shampoos, pureology reviving red line is awesome. the line also has in between coloring conditioning deposit treatment ampules to keep your color fresh. I have med Brown hair too and the color fades gradually back to your original color. it never looks bad but you will notice it faster than anyone else you see on a daily basis. I think mostly for me I notice it because well...I'm addicted to the color :-)

Try the John Freda red shampoo I dyed my bestfriends hair red and it helped the color last and look more rich. Love the color btw!
