Help me with my long, fine hair!

Please, lol. How can I prevent breakage and split ends, and hide them in the meantime? What products, brands, and natural treatments are good for fine hair? What should I AVOID? I wash my hair once a week already, and for some reason, it seems my hair falls out most when it's dirty. Is that normal? I thought natural oils were good! :/

I'm desperate. My hair has grown from my shoulders to barely my boobs (I'm short, so that's saying something, lol), and it's been 3-4 years since my last length cut. I get 1/4" - 1/2" cuts at least 3 times a year, if not more often than that, and I rarely use heat...

Please, my fellow beauties... what more can I do? <3

Also, I do olive oil treatments once a month or two. And, I do use leave-in conditioners already. Any suggestions of a particular one that would be good for me?

If you want to grow your hair, do NOT take pills such as Biotin. You should be getting enough from biotin rich foods which you are eating, and pills are only for people with a deficiency. Taking Biotin pills when they aren't needed can cause acne, sickness and hospilitisation.
The treatments you are currently doing on your hair are good, you could try a hair mask such as L'oreal or Macadamia.
To prevent breakage and split ends, make sure you get split ends trimmed off (otherwise your hair will split up the hair shaft and cause breakage). You're good for not using heat:) you could try using a nutritive shampoo and conditioner which contains argan oil, such as Dove nourishing oil care shampoo and conditioner.

Look into biosilk...that stuff is on point! kind of pricey but totally worth it and you can find it cheaper on amazon :)

I think it's best to wash your hair alittle more often, just because it gets oily and more dirty quicker. And your hair seems to grow at a natural pace, your doing everything fine!

All of that is so helpful! Thank you, all of you. :)

Hannah, I just might try that Dove. I've used their other shamp/cond, and I love it. How does that help my hair? Does it make it stronger? And isn't Biotin just vitamins? lol

Tracy, I've been thinking of trying Biosilk for a while now, but it's the price that gets me. Is your hair like mine? Did that stuff help it?

And Veronica, its weird, I can go about 5 days without washing my hair fine. Is 2 more days of dirty hair bad for it? Do you think I SHOULD wash it more, or were you just saying I could if I wanted?

It's crazy that this rate is normal, lol. Everyone says it's slow and it seems slow to me compared to everyone else. My friend's sick mom shaved her head bald about 3-4 years ago, and her hair is passed her shoulders already! Lol, I just feel like I'm doing something wrong bc it's slow, and definitely not as "good" as it used to be - and I'm healthier now than ever before, AND I take better care of it. I just want long silky locks... :( lmao

It is amazing! I use it, I have exactly the same hair type as you and its amazing:) my hair is in much better condition, is so healthy, shiny and strong:) Biotin is technically medication, but as it's so widely available people take them like Smarties.

I have fine hair but a lot of it and I need to use a different oil but one of my friends who is a hairstylist uses the biosilk and OMG her hair feels amazing and it doesn't weight her hair down at all

For example I can go for a long time without washing my hair because it doesn't get oily as fast, my hair is pretty dry.. Soo when your hair produce oils it's good but it can keep producing and will feel dirty so it's best to wash your hair every other day or every three days.
