My hair is pretty plain. Dirt brown. X3 I was wondering what low lights would do for it. I'm not sure about highlights, just on the account a friend got them and they looked... Different. We have similar hair, but I know it's not a valid argument :P. Just wanted some input :)

If your hair is dirt brown, low lights wouldn't be that noticeable as highlights would.

Lowlights add dimension with strands of darker color. Highlights lighten hair with strands of lighter hair.
