I used to shave mine & it's not any coarser, darker, or more noticeable now that I don't. :) did the same with my lower back lol.

You could always get it threaded, if you go to a threading salon run by Indians they will most likely agree to thread it for you :) I hate my stomach hair too so I wax or epilate it :) I never shaved it because stubble irritates me a lot...

I'd say cream like Nair sensitive hair removal cream. it'll leave your skin super soft and smooth, and it doesn't hurt in the slightest.
