Fighting my skin problems has always been an uphill battle (I've had acne since I was 10), and I've pretty much tried every and any possible "acne remedy"I could get my hands on. I used to cut, and had actually considered killing myself, all because of my skin. I had finally found a combination of products that were starting to help, one of the biggest being Panoxyl BP 2.5%. I bought it a few years back, threw it on a shelf and forgot about it until recently. It was actually clearing up my problematic skin. My tube just ran out, and I just found out they discontinued it. I have no idea what to do, I feel so hopeless and disgusting. Does anybody else feel my Panoxyl Pain? Have you found a dupe of some sort? Please, I'm so desperate.

Is Panoxyl the brand? Can you post a picture of the ingredients? It may just be 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide which is great for stubborn acne.

The ladies are right. The generic name is Benzoyl Peroxide. 2.5 being the percentage. Please, don't be upset! It's easy to get your hands on and isn't expensive so no worries!

You should really try 'proactive' katy perry uses it! It's quite pricey but it works 100% and there's a money back guarantee if it doesn't work (I think) google it and have a look princess. Also I know this doesn't solve the problem try 'sheer cover makeup' it's used by doctors who treat people with like accident scars. It covers ANYTHING I've used it and it was the best thing ever! And it's not cakey or heavy it's all minerals! Google both babe and have a bit if a research on both I'm 99% sure they will work! Hope I helped x

I have had acne and my derm prescribed a very low antibiotic called Oracea that works wonders! Since it is so low you don't have to worry about it killing good bacteria if you stay in it for a while. I use that and Proactiv and another prescribed cream and my skin has been so much better. Don't worry, your skin will get better :)

Why don't you try makeup that will help? I feel your pain. I have terrible dark acne scars on my cheeks and no matter what I do I keep breaking out. I tried LORACS powder foundation, (sorry I don't remember the name) and it's actually meant to help with acne prone skin. It had really nice coverage and felt so nice and light on my face no matter how much I put on and it honestly stopped my break outs till I ran out lol, but really I would look into it. Don't just look for face products change up your make up if you need to. Keep your head up Hun ❤️

I have an excellent diet, just BECAUSE of my skin. I've cut whole food groups out of my diet for the sake of my skin, haha. I also drink at least 4 pints of water a day.

Thank you, that was actually pretty informative! I definitely eat more stuff like that during the summer, but I should incorporate stuff like that year round.

If nothing else works then I suggest you try going vegan. It probably sounds scary but it's great for your health and skin. I honestly don't know any vegans who suffer from acne(not saying that it's impossible, I just don't know any). I, myself, hardly get pimples too. Cutting out animal products (mainly dairy) helps a lot of people. But good luck :)

Zoey, I feel your pain! It seems that the other ladies have already given you great advice on where else to find the BP.
Have you gotten any prescriptions from your doctor? Hopefully the BP will continue to work for you, but if it doesn't, l just want to say that the only thing that cleared my skin was Accutane. It's a very controversial treatment and should be kept as a last resort because of the side-effects it can have, but if nothing else works, you should talk to your dr. about it. I've never regretted using it; it was tough at times but I had tried all of the other medications, top skincare lines, DIY masks, diet changes, etc. and nothing ever got rid of my acne completely until Accutane.
Maybe you've seen this before, but I wrote an article on how to be confident with acne: bit.ly/18tXfNi Not that it sounds like you need any help with confidence; it's just a bit of encouragement if you ever have one of those days where you feel a bit desperate and hopeless because nothing is going right! Best of luck xx

I'm so sorry Zoey, I was right there with you and remember the feelings. Good thing you are so lovely that acne can't knock down that gorgeous face!!😘 Here's what's worked for me: Rub lemon juice on your face let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes. I just rub a lemon wedge all over, but you can dilute the juice with water if you're nervous. Then put a thin layer of real honey on your skin for 10 to 20 minutes, then wash with a gentle cleanser. The lemon is most important and fast, so you can do it each day. You can do the honey less if you don't have time. Even if you can only do each of these things for five minutes each day before you wash your face on the morning, you will really see a big difference! The lemon helps to dry out the pimples and fade any discoloration from them. Honey also moisturizes, keeps oil bay and it has natural antibacterial properties that kill those little red monsters! Fast, cheap and all natural cures that I wish I knew about years ago! Here is the BEST spot treatment ever!! It's incredible!!
