Hair color for the tips of your hair?

If the title wasn't clear enough, I mean what color would look good on the tips for brunette hair. I have never dyed my hair before and this summer I want to so something different. I don't want a drastic change, but like I said the tips is what I want to change. Pictures would help and any tips on what to do since this is my first time dying hair. Thanks ladies:)

Well, kool aid works good, but it's not really a natural color thing. I did my tips this summer, and they lasted about 2-3 weeks. Something to play with if you are interested :)

Thanks Bailey, yeah I was actually thinking about doing kool aid, but I didn't know how long it would last. And I wanted like a blue since I have very dark hair. Would it look good on curly hair since I have it?

I have brunette hair, and I did blue. It was great the first few days, but faded into a turquoiseish. There are ways to make the kool aid last longer though, it just takes a lot of research :) My sister did red on her brown hair, and it turned out good. It stayed the same color. Hope this helped :)

Brighter colors look good. Pastel shades don't look as good depending on the brown your hair is.

I have curly hair and had an ombré done about a year ago. I obviously had to get my ends bleached but I really didn't notice any terrible consequences from it. I just made sure to do a hair mask once a week and it was fine. Then last month I had teal put in on the bottom which also didn't seem to damage my hair at all. I'll insert a picture!
