So I have already posted a thread about dying the tips of my hair, but I have more questions.

So, I really wanna change up my hair without doing major damage to it. I was think of doing ombre tips, but since I have really dark hair (dark brown) and its super curly, I am afraid that bleaching it might ruin it. Then on my other thread, a beautylisher (forgot her name sorry:[) mentioned Kool-Aid dip dye. I have heard of it, but never thought of doing it.

So then I did some research on it, and I really want to do it now! But I have soo many questions since this is my first time dying my hair.

1. How long would it last?
2. What color should I dye it since I have dark brown hair?
3. Would you recommended doing it?

I know that this was long, but I am really curious. Thanks ladies:) Oh and it would also help if you post some pictures of what Kool-Aid dip dye looks like? Thanks again:)
Oh and p.s. I'm not sure if I mentioned this, I only want to dye my tips because I don't want to make a drastic change dyeing my whole head.

Thanks...again again lol:-)

Here's a post I made on another thread asking about it.
Honestly it's not worth it. It's way damaging and you will not be able to remove it without cutting it off.

Thanks Alyx for your opinions. I wasn't sure how damaging it was because I have never dyed it.

Agree with Alyx, I was going to recommend manic panic too :)

Wouldn't you have to bleach your hair yo use maniac paniac?

To get a bright color yes. But a lot of colors come out well on darker hair. The reds and blues, mostly. I'd google "manic panic _____ on unbleached hair" or any veggie dye like special effects, punky colors, etc.

We used to do kool aid dye when I was a child. I didn't know people still do that! It doesn't show up very well on darker hair, and it dries it out pretty bad. If your hair is a lighter brown or blonde it will stain for a long long time. The results are unpredictable as well. Not worth it.
