My prom is on friday ( I live in the uk) and I hate how all foundation looks on my skin its ether to orange or looks incredibly caked on. currently my skin is pretty clear but I have faint acne scars do you think it would be ok to just wear bb cream? I have the maybelline one for oily skin advice please :) :)

I think if you feel that you don't need a heavy coverage then go for the bb cream, but you also have to think about flash photography and how long you will be out. So your best bet would wear a foundation that you know is going to hold up all night and look good in photos. As for it looking caked on, maybe you're applying too much or not applying it the correct way.

What Dereanna said! I personally find that bb creams turn orange and make the face look oily/sweaty but that's just my experience with bb creams. I would deffo go for a foundation: Max Factor colour adapt foundation is fab! I'm very pale and I can never get the right shade it's either to white or to dark but with this it does 'adapt' to your skin tone. At the end of the day were not all one complete colour. If you use a beauty blender and pat/dab it on it gives you a nice even look which doesn't look cakey and you can't even tell your wearing it it's so natural look. Also remember to use a primer to keep everything in place max factor again do a good one. I would practice your make up and find something you like/try the bb cream. So then when it comes to the day you won't be in a tizz to what to do. Hope you have a fab time!

Also a powder - this will help remove any shine and complete the look.

I find it very natural looking and it stays on all day without any touch ups needed! Because I'm very pale I find it adds a little colour and it hides my black heads/spots & scar under my eye. You can't even feel that you have on! Make sure when testing foundations you go outside and judge the colour on your skin because of the artificial lightening it can make the colour look like it suits you when really it doesn't! Also boots have got deals on at the moment so deffo go to boots! I've been using the foundation for over 3 months now and it hasn't caused any break outs either, doesn't dry or make your skin oily - I personally think it's a miracle!

Bourjous healthy mix serum reminds me of a bb cream in foundation form if you are heading to boots, anyway.
