Stop using gel. That's why your hair is breaking and becoming damaged because of the gel and it makes your hair really dry. I have curly hair and I used to put gel in it until it started drying out my hair causing dead ends. Frizz control mouse is what works best for me and is great for curly hair.

Especially for the summer this is what I use to control my curls and frizz.

I agree with dropping the gel..
I use a curl cream from Ogx, and it works wonders and keeps my curls frizz free, & they're never too crunchy. (gel and mousse tend to make my hair very crunchy and hard)
You should try a curl cream. Here's the one I use (Ogx Kukui Oil Curl Cream)

If you don't want to buy anything mix 2 egg yolks with mayo and you can add additional hair products.

for split ends

Well first, you need to cut your split ends. there is no way to repair them. the longer you wait, the higher up it goes. then you'll have to cut off more hair. for my hair, I use coconut oil. sometimes I leave it in for a couple hours, then wash it out. I always put some in my hair after a shower, though. it's helped a lot & has cut down my frizz tremendously! I have long, thick, curly hair :)

Stop using mousse! I've discovered that it makes my hair dry as well, along with being crunchy! Yuck! That curl cream Kaitlyn suggested rocks, it's what I use! I use that with It's A 10 Miracle Leave-In, and then OGX Weightless Argan Oil & Shea Butter oil. I don't blow dry my hair, I just twist sections around my fingers and let it air dry. As for those split ends...have to get them cut off. No product out there that claims it'll "mend your split ends" does not do so. Once you've got 'em, you've got 'em.
