1 tip I got from watching chrisspy on YouTube is to hold your brush at an angle. With the tip of your brush down. That way when you apply your eyeshadow you don't really get any harsh lines.

Also applying transition shades helps the shadow look more blended and flows better

I personally apply numerous amount of transition shades for an eye look.

I think you did a lovely job! Practice makes perfect, of course, and it looks like you've been working on this a lot :) the only thing I'm noticing is that your outer corner still is a bit darker than the rest of your shadow. But that's a really minor qualm. You've really done some smooth blending here.

It depends in the mood I am. I usually use tannish shades. But a brown would've looked good because of the color of your eye.
