So I have medium thick wavy/curly hair and I've been trying to grow it out! I've learned to love my natural hair and I'm doing the no heat summer challenge but my hair is so dry and brittle can you guys please give me some tips about healthy hair.

Moisturize! I have thick wavy/curly hair too and I straightened for about two years during middle school (which I reallly regret). Anyways, leave-in conditioners are great, as well as deep conditioners and oils (such as Macadamia Oil). Also try and find sulfate free shampoos and conditioners to wash your hair with. Another thing I suggest is possibly getting a trim and try and refrain from using heat. Also be sure to eat healthy and drink plenty of water, especially foods filled with protein (I think even some shampoos and hair products have protein). I pretty much stopped straightening my hair a little more than a year ago and have been trying to treat it better and it's getting healthier (once I stopped straightening, it grew about two-three inches within a few months, but then again my hair grows sort of fast because of genetics). Just be gentle with your hair(:
