How can I dye my hair burgandy at home I've dyed it black before but I'm pretty sure the dye has faded out it looks natural brown... I want to do it with a box color.

Kool aid!! Lol I don't know I've never dyed my hair.. You should keep it how it is and just get 2 inches off and side bangs.

Yea girl youre going to have to lighten it. the fastest way is bleach..
Ima tell you my measurements in percents lol because I didnt do an exact amount.
In a bowl, I put 40% lemon juice, 30% Conditioner, 20% Coconut Oil, and 10% Vodka.. then you go out in the sun for a couple hours, and viola, it should help.. you may have to do it more than once, but it's less damaging then bleach.

You should be able to do it from home. Vidal sasson has a color line that may have what your looking for. I'd get two boxes. Many home dyes will lift a shade or two and deposit. Read the box.

But, get it done in shop is always a better idea.

So once your hair is light enough, I would go to Sally's and use they're dye, it last much longer than box dye. You can find the right color you want too (they have little hair samples of all the colors)

But if you do get a box dye, try to get one of the more expensive obese, the cheap Revlon dye always fades fast lol.

Red fades faster then any color. Sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, limited washing
Shoulnt have to lighten hair.

Don't use box dyes! I use the one from loreal, they are sold at sally's. The onefor dark hair, and you can dye it red without bleaching. Its only $5 and you also need a developer for
Mixing,I use the 30vol. Because I want mine to lift 5 shades lighter. For hair care,I use sulfate free shampoos and cleansing conditioners. I prefer this dye rather than bleaching /box hair dyes.I've had my first color done at the salon, they bleached it which made my hair dry and frizzy!
