The style of dress on 2 that Celeste posted is great for every type of body because it defines curves and for thicker girls like myself gives the appearance of a thinner figure. Same with the style of #1 on bottom right with the gold skirt.

Definitely something with a band or ruching. if you have a dress with a belt under the best line or it is synched in to accent your waist, and not too short to accent your legs with some sort of heel would be fantastic :)
