I have terribly thin fine hair (due to genetics)...On occasion I like to straighten it... Which is less damaging... Blow drying with a round brush or flat iron??

If you do decide to use any heat on your hair get yourself a good heat protecting product to apply to hair before you put any heat on it.

I agree both are damaging. But I was told by a very well known colorist that blow drying is slightly less damaging than flat ironing.

Blowdrying is a bit less damaging. a blowdryer isn't as hot as a flat iron. its totally OK to do both as long as you take care of your hair. apply a heat protector before hand, and do deep conditioning treatments and Get trims regularly.

I avoid as much as possible but it's inevitable... I use a heat protector by tresume (black and red bottle)... I use a chi straightener and elchiem dryer... Just the dryer heat and pulling from brush vs iron... Thanks for the advice.
