I have the worst dark circles and if I'm going out here's what I do:
1.Wash face with lukewarm water, pat dry and apply a thin layer of moisturizer on face.
2. Wait 10 mins then apply thin layer of primer on face and under eyes carefully dabbing
3. Sponge on foundation as normal making a thin layer under eyes
4. Using an Orange or salmon corrector or eyeshadow (yes I said orange) and put the smallest amount under the eyes by dabbing with your ring finger. If using an eyeshadow be careful to not put too much. It should look translucent on the skin.
5. Dab a concealer that matches your skin colour on top of the corrector so that no orange can be seen then very lightly set with powder.
I find that the darker the circle the more intense colour corrector you will need. Very light circles only need a salmon concealer but when dealing with very dark circles the orange is intense enough the neutralise the blue/purple.
Sorry for such a long post I hope I have helped! :)

Put a spoon in the freezer for 30 minutes, take it out and put it over your eyes until it gets warm!
