So I have blonde hair (not naturally) and I bought some 100% pure coconut oil and wanna do a hair mask but I've heard it'll darken hair is that true?

No. If anything it would lift color. A very small amount of color. If people say it darkens the hair it's probably because the oils weigh it down and make it look that way. It would be the same as if you didn't wash your hair for a week and the natural oils make it look darker until you wash it.

When you have the oil in your hair it does make it look a bit darker, but as soon as you wash it out your hair is perfectly blond again, contact from a blond who use coconut oil masks once a week :)
