1. I wear 2 foundations at the same time. I wear a long lasting, matte one on my nose, chin & the small cheek area next to my nose. And I wear a super- moisterizing one everywhere else.
2. When I wear blush, I use 2 shades also. A neutral pinky nude first, then a brighter color on top. It gives a more gradient look, so it doesn't just look like bright color just sprang up in the middle of my face.
3. I also use 2 shades of lipstick in the same color family. The darker one on the perimeter of my lips & the lighter one on the center on my lips for a fuller look.
If you think about it, no one is just one color. It just makes sense to use more than 1 color when trying to create a natural look. What are your tips & tricks?

I use Scotch tape to pick up eyeshadow and glitter fallout, and to remove glitter at the end of the night (rather than wiping it around my face with makeup remover). I also use multiple mascaras, one to lengthen and one to volumize, as well as a lash primer to protect and lengthen my lashes before mascara.

I mix my under eye concealer with my eye cream it just spreads better and when it dries my eyes are nice an firm ,I always exfoliate my lips and and put on lip balm before i start my makeup then my lips are plump and smooth when it's time for my lipstick and I always take my skincare down my neck so they match and I don't have a young face and old neck lol.

Oh, I set my Concealer with a subtle highligter so it doesn't look too dry looking. I also always apply my powder with a damp beauty blender to prevent cakiness.

I always use concealer on my eyelids as well as underneath, then on top I apply an eye shadow which is a tiny bit lighter than my skin on top to even out my eye area and stop concealer from creasing.

I make my package of MAC wipes last a long time by only using them to remove my eye makeup after I wash my face. Since I don't need the whole wipe for my almost clean eye, I save it in a resealable bag and use a different part of it next time.

@Marleen...I like your tip about setting under eye with highlighter. My tips are: After putting foundation and powder on lips, I line them then fill them in with liner, apply lipstick and lip gloss. Stays all day. I also put a little vanilla pigment in the cupids bow I create. I use white eye liner trick a lot to conceal tired eyes.

I really like that tape tip to pick up fall out that Hannah suggested.
My tips are putting blush on my cheek bones, not apples of cheeks. This is cause when your smile, the apples rise up but what goes up must go back down. If you put the blush on your apples, it'll in reality be more in the middle of your cheek, thus why I put it on my cheek bones.
I also blot my face after foundation and concealer but before powder. It gets rid of excess oils and stuff

@Marleen...I do the two blush routine as well. Learned it from Bobbi Brown. ;) My tip...I actually use Clinique Bottom Lash mascara in black on my lower lashes because I notice it makes my eyes pop even if I'm not wearing any other eye makeup. I also double cleanse using either coconut oil or Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing oil followed by a traditional cleanser.

@Shelley W. I do a similar lower mascara trick. For nighttime, I use a tiny mascara wand and carefully dot on MASCARA inbetween my lower lashes. It gives an intense look and doesn't smudge like liner or shadow.

@Annmarie W. I also do that cupid bow trick. I also sometimes smudge on a little gold pencil eyeliner on the top & bottom center of my lips then apply a rosy, nude or a peachy lipstick OVER it. And sometimes I apply the gold liner OVER the same area. It has better staying power than just a shimmery gloss. But I still add the gloss!

-Use 2 different shades of foundation
-do eyes before foundation
-eyebrows before eye makeup (sometimes)
-contour before foundation
-apply liner then set with shadows
-line and fill lips, then apply lipstick or glos
-use powder mostly on the "T" zone
-let primer set in for 10/15 min. While I do the eye makeup
-use pencil liner before I use gel/liquid liner
-apply foundation with a sponge and blend with a wet brush
-use a flesh tone liner to line the waterline instead of white
-when doing cut creases, keep eye open while drawing new crease
-always start with transition colors, ALWAYS

• I use 3 mascaras every day: one to seperate lashes, then build length and volume, then my clump crusher so it doesn't look like I piled on tons of mascara
• in eye area, and a little bit in the t-zone (mostly where I apply concealer) I set it with a loose translucide powder
Lol yeah my tricks arent anything special I guess

• When I make a mistake with winged eyeliner, I take a small angled brush and dab a little of my moisturizer on it so I can have a clean edge while moisturizing the area.
• I do my eyebrows after my eyes so I know how thick my eyebrows should be. Thicker the eye makeup, thicker the brow.
• Use lipstick as a dupe for cream blush

I use 2 mascaras also and I tend to be a lil ocd about making sure I don't have clumpy lashes lol so I always use a clean old mascara wand between every coat to get them just how I want. from my limited experience I have found that one of the plastic (or whatever they're made of) ones with the many tiny teeth like thingys lol works best. I. use an old loreal voluminous million lashes wand. works fantastically for me and is a cinch to clean.

I use plain old vaseline as eye makeup remover every night- pat it on, gently off with a warm washcloth then use facewash and the other half of the washcloth on the remainder of my face. cheap and easy and very moisturizing:)

These are great tips! I'm so going to try some☺️ I like to dust a shimmery light eyeshadow at the highest point of my cheekbones after I highlight. It gives me a nice glow☺️

I never apply concealer on my lips because it dries out the lips and makes them look flaky.

I necer apply concealer on my eyes because it looks cakey (just under my eyes and dark circles, not on my lid or crease)
