In Minnesota where I live its not required to have a license to be a makeup artist. I still want to go to school because I think I will still learn new techniques and it will give me an edge. I don't want to go to cosmo school only because I have no interest in cutting or dying hair. The only actual school for it here is called Faces etc.of MN I do believe they also have a school in NY but I'm not positive. If I do go there it would be a multi media 130 hour course and I would have a full kit (airbrushing etc) I believe they are partners with many well known makeup brands such as makeup forever. I'm wondering if anyone had heard of them or has feedback about it or would I be better off just going to one day classes elsewhere that are specific to one thing like go to a bridal class or glamour or whatever it may be.

Hey I'm from Wisconsin and was going to go to Faces ETC but decided against it because it's pricey, and I already knew what they taught so I decided to go to Rain Makeup Academy online, it's $400 and you buy your own kit so I took a loan for school and some for a kit which included MAC and other high end brands. Let me know what you decide! ❤️

Here in Orlando you have to have a license to do makeup. What I would recommend is making sure you don't need a cosmetology license in order to be a makeup artist, and then checking out your local schools. I believe Joe Blasco has two schools. One here in Orlando Fl, but I'm not sure where his other school is. Anyway, please make sure to not only check them out online, but actually go to the school and check it out. Hope you find an amazing school!
