I am a sophomore in high school, so I still have some years to go. I am not too worried on finding a path right now, but I would like to get a general idea of what I might do.
I already no I want to be a freelance makeup artist, mostly geared towards commercial and editorial photography. A while ago (about a year) I stumbled upon a school that I thought I wanted to go to. MUD (Makeup Designory)
Just a few weeks ago I also learned of this other school, AOFM (Academy of Freelance Makeup).
I know for a fact that I want to stay in New York.
*Backstory, I was born and raised in Brooklyn, moved, and I have been planning on going back for years now.
I was wondering if any of you have attended or are currently attending either school and what is your opinion on them. I am not worried too much about the price because they are both fairly cheap. I have weighed most of the pros and cons that I currently know of.
Please give me your opinions on both schools. It would mean a lot.
Thank you.

Dana , I don't live in NY but go ask some professionals for advice to. Don't be shy, they were where you are at one point . Ask your hairdresser what she's heard, ask Mac girls , ask for the manager & ask her what she's seen in her new hires when they come out of school. Who's the strongest? Just a thought . I've had aspiring hairstylists ask me all of those questions.

Btw they will admire you're eagerness . Real professionals, and experienced stylists / makeup artists all love the 'keeners' you're passionate about what we're passionate about. That's the kind of drive it takes to make it ;)
