And badly, my face looks orange. I've been having so many foundation problems lately and this is just the cherry on top.
Is there a way to stop foundation from oxidizing or do I need to switch foundations?
And does anyone have any foundation reccommendations for me? I have VERY oily skin and I need full coverage. I'd prefer it not to feel super heavy on my face because spring and summer are right around the corner.

I have had problems with foundations oxidizing on me too, and I've never found a way to stop it I just buy another foundation. I have oily sink and I really like the urban decay naked skin foundation (medium build able coverage), and makeup forevers mat velvet + which is also a medium but build able coverage. I hope this helps:)!

Thank you Cinthya. I keep hearing good things about Naked Skin. I'll have to stop and check it out.

I've never found a way to stop and I hate when that happens. I normally use a powder because it gives me a matte finish and the coverage you get depends on how much you use.

Hmm. VERY INTERESTING! Thank you Miss Jacqueline. I have a pretty crappy skincare routine but I never thought that could be contributing to the issue. Informative answers like always :-) Thank you!

Try the Kat von D foundation. I was having the same issues with my foundation oxidizing I was using the CoverGirl Outlast 3in1 and I now switched to Kat von D and I havent noticed it oxydizing yet alittle goes a long way with this foundation you have to be careful on how much you do put because it will make you look cakey.

I would suggest getting a new foundation and ask for a sample so you can see how it wears off :) I did, with my Chanel vitalumiere (since it isn't the cheapest ) and I loved it.

Foundation oxidizes because of iron oxides in it which is used to give it color. Iron is in the blood and when it comes in contact with air it oxidizes to a maroon color. Good way that I've been able to prevent it is make a finishing spray with water and some lemon juice. Lemon juice is sprayed on fruits to prevent browning (oxidizing) or you can find moisturizers that have vitamin C in them which could help

I looked at the ingredients to the studio fix fluid and the face and body one by mac. Studio fix fluid has iron oxides while the face and body doesn't

I have oily skin too, here's what I've done.

Put plain minute oatmeal in a food processor and grind it to a powder, then make a paste by mixing it with a little water and scrub your face gently. Leave it on for about 2 minutes and rinse off, Pat dry and use a very light moisturizer, I use one by clean and clear.

After the moisturizer, I use CoverGirl Clean cream foundation for oily skin and set with CoverGirl translucent powder.

This works for me throughout most of the year, though on the really hot summer days I use powder throughout the day after an oil absorbing tissue.

Revlon colourstay and rimmel match perfection are good if you want to switch
