I just wanted to thank you all who left sweet words on my last post about my medical diagnois and on my profile page. That really meant a lot. I promised to give you all an update so here go...

The melanoma was located on my back so I went thru a painful removal process in which the doctor removed a large area of skin and tissue. But before that I had to go thru extensive testing to make sure it didnt spread to other areas such as my lungs or bone tissue. The stress of it all turned me into a raging shopperholic so either before or after appointments to various specialists I would go on makeup/book binges. It still didnt remove how I was feeling inside though but for a few minutes it was a nice escape to kinda forget. I'm now on a radiation schedule at the very same clinic where my dog and I go visit patients receiving chemo/radiation treatment. Its a very weird feeling. I'm not going to bore you with all the other depressing aspects of my current health because I'm working overtime trying to see the positives that have come out of my diagnois.

Once again I just want to thank everyone who has extended thoughtful and kinds words my way and I'm sorry for not responding to the one's left on my profile...its just hard to do so as everytime I read them I get all teary eyed and it becomes difficult to type out my feelings. Thank you.xxxxx

Awwww Shelley, I'm so sorry to hear this. stay encouraged and rem that bad things happen to good ppl all the time so we can have a testimony. it doesn't feel good, it doesn't seem fair, and it isn't fair but one day this will too b behind you, like all the tiger bad things that you've been thru and you'll b able to help more ppl in some way because that's the type of spirit you have. I'm assuming the radiation is preventative. that's a good thng. it may zap something that would have come up in ten years n been fatal. that's how good God is. everything happens for a reason. stay in faith and with Him you'll see this thru.
all the love n the world babydoll. :)
p.s. I won't leave messages about this on your wall but if you ever need to get this off your chest you let me know. sometimes you have to spit it out to release and move on. its ok to vent. we need to exchange #'s..

I have had invasive malignant melanoma 5 times now and I completely understand the troubles and worrys you had went through. I have had it on my stomache, legs, back and chest. The first time I was diagnosed with it was when I was only 8 and I was so scared and worry and had really no Idea what was going on at that time. So sorry to hear that you had to go through that terrifying experience. Atleast they were able to catch it early and now you are on the road to recovery <3.
