Why does cutting split ends off make your hair grow faster? The hair grows from your scalp. I don't understand.

The hair will keep splitting toward the root, which makes it fragile and break.

Everything the ladies have said is true, but it will not speed up hair growth. It will however let you keep the hair you have as well as new growth healthy.

It doesn't make it grow faster. Your hair doesn't say "oh I just got my ends cut off. Better start growing faster". The only thing cutting split ends off does it make your hair look healthier.

If you trim your hair regularly it prevent split ends from moving up the hair n making it worse doesn't make it hair longer by helps the growth all depends on your hair and diet you can cut your hair once a month but if you don't eat properly and drink water it won't grow fast

Cutting split ends off won't actruly make them grow faster, however it will make your hair much healthier and look healthier!
