Honestly, I see all this hype about MAC Lipstick and my honest opinion:

I think they're not that great for their prices..

I rather go with Stilla liquid long wear (those are bomb! lol)

Idk, maybe I could give it a second try.. I bought one and I didn't like it at all! It sucked ass! sorry.. lol
Idk if it wasn't that great because the lipstick was Matte..

What are your opinions?

I mainly only like the large selection of colors that mac offers. Like you, I think they're pricy and money can be better spent on Stila and other lip products.

I really don't think mac lipsticks are that expensive. You can pay $20 more for ones in sephora. They are some great formulas (I will admit yes some are hit and miss I don't really like the frosts or the glazes with some exceptions) I love the cremesheens and the amplifieds also the mattes! They have every shade you could desire and when people do these types of post it annoys me because the is a hype on a product it doesn't mean that it is overrated theses are beautiful lipsticks in my opinion

They still suck in my opinion..
If I'm going to choose between drugstore and MAC I'LL GO WITH MAC. EVEN RIMEL LONDON IS WAY BETTER THAN THE MAC I TRIED.

Some people like it some don't. I personally love them but I know a ton of people that done lol. But if you don't it's no big deal! :) I've never tried those stila ones now I'm a little tempted too!

I heard that the matte lipstick from Mac are sucky, and the one I bought was really sucky!

@Mio.S, omg! I love love love stila! buy it and you won't regret it. get the long wear liquid lipstick. it's amazing and it last four hours! you can even eat and it ain't face!

I don't think mac is that expensive. As far as high end goes I think they are the cheapest and I like them but they aren't the best formulation but they do offer awesome color ranges.

I get my mac from a discounted store so I only pay 6$ for lipsticks and 17$ for foundation and pallets are like 23$ :) but in all honesty I love mac, when I can find the right colors and collections/ type. Maybe thats your issue? They have all types of lipsticks like long wear ex. Go to a mac store and they can recommend their best stuff!

But I'm not sure you can get two to four at the drugstore these days from some brands... Loreal, maybelline, revlon are still $9-11 I would rather pay the extra few dollars. Yes you can get ones from wet and wild, elf ect and yes they are nice colours but their drying full of nasty chemicals and ingredients and stay in for like 45 mins

I LOVE MAC! They have a huge selection, I love the smell, the formula is great and for me living in Australia where on average the cheapest MAC lipsticks are $36 getting them from America at $15 is such a bargain. There is no converting me from their Matte lippies either. Love love love. Some MAC products on the other hand are not so great.

If you heard it sucked, why did you get a matte lipstick?
I love their lipsticks. The price is set right and they have so much colors and textures and omg. $15 is not bad for being Mac.

I was at MAC yesterday. I do not care for their lipsticks as they just don't seem to having staying power for me, but the colors are lovely. I picked up an eye pencil and lip liner..both of which I enjoy. Aside from that, I have other companies I enjoy much better. :/

I love Mac lipsticks, the formula is great and doesn't dry out my lips and it lasts for a long time. I also find when I wear lipstick my throat hurts by the end of the day but if I wear Mac that doesn't happen. Plus I love the colour range. I think the price is reasonable for the quality. I don't mind spending $18 so many other brands are way more expensive.

I'm not into high end makeup. I think it's a waste unless you're a serious makeup artist. I've never found a thing wrong with drugstore lipsticks. Like my mom always says, you don't own the brand, the brand owns you.

I couldn't disagree more bryanna, you don't need to be a makeup artist to have nice products. I'm 16 and money I get for birthday or Christmases I love to spend on treating myself in sephora. If makeup is your hobby then spending money on it is never a waste.. You obviously never brought anything high end other wise I think you would change your mind haha

I kinda like both drugstore and high end products. I'm much more hesitant to buy higher end just for the fact that I don't wanna be out X amount of dollars if the product doesn't work. I have one MAC lipstick and it has inspired me to try more. My fave lipsticks are probably NYX ones for how they glide on, ignore fine lines & chapped lips and come in a lot of colours. Overall, I'm not too influenced by hype.

I also disagree with Bryanna. Yes there's some great drugstore products but there are also some AMAZING high end products too. You love what you love and that's fine but just because it's not what you pick it doesn't mean it still isn't great.
