What are your thoughts on it?

Caitriona H.
My thoughts are that you shouldn't use it as it is not made for humans.

Kitty k. (moderater) has a pretty thorough explanation as to why its bad for your hair.
let me try and sum it up.
-not ph balanced for human hair.
- over time it will make it dry and brittle
-gives the illusion of longer hair due to the wax buildup.
thats all I can think of from the top of my head.

There's a lot of people who think they're good, but it's only because they haven't done their research or been educated on how it's actually affecting their hair.

The shampoo adds volume and helps you grow your hair.
Use a moisturizing conditioner.

All it does is put a disgusting wax build up on your hair. I've never used it, the idea of using something for horses was just weird to me. But I've had many people recommend it to me over the years and after becoming a hairdresser I researched it. It's really bad for your hair, just leave it at that.

I am in love with it!! it has actually improved my hair length and when you start using it it will kind of dry out your hair so I suggest. mixing in a little bit of regular moisturizing conditioner and it help tons with that. also it makes your hair smell kinda like apples!!( if you like apples)

Horses and humans are actually chemically made of the same stuff- they have hair not fur. Everyone thinks it's weird to use a horse shampoo, but it's not that weird. It would be if you were using dog shampoo, because dogs are composed of different things chemically. And honestly, I LOVE Mane N Tail. It has sulfates and stuff, but I'm not an über crazy health freak. It helps my hair and makes it healthy and that's what matters to me.
