The diffuser on a hair dryer...?

What exactly does the diffuser do? Should I be using it instead of going without it? Basically what are the benefits of using one, or any drawbacks? I've been using it without for ages and I just wondered if I should start

I use it to get my hair more curlier...I'm not sure what else I can use it for lol 😝

It mimics air drying :) its much more gentle and dries your hair to its natural texture but smooths down frizz at the same time!

It diffuses the heat so it spreads to more area of your hair in less time and also not as concentrated - so it's like gently drying more hair at a time.

It does exactly what the previous posters said, but be careful because it could dry out your hair.
