Here are some tips hope I help:
Never towel dry your hair.
Don't brush it when it's dry or on a really dry day.
Be careful with heat products.
Use the correct conditioner.
Use the correct hair products.
Don't wash your hair everyday.
And use children's detangling spray it'll help. :)

Have you tried the "No 'Poo" method? I friend of mine has really kinky curly hair and it works for her! For yours I'd say definitely use a 100% cotton t shirt or undershirt (go buy some from forever21 for like $2.50!) and wrap it up to soak up all the water. Then make a hair cocktail (my wavy hair friend swears by this) a gold all size of conditioning mousse, some shine serum and just a little bit of gel then scrunch in. For defines curls I'd say tie in bantu knots or twist and pin up but I'd just out it in a braid with a twistband so you don't leave a debt in your hair. (: oh and use a wide tooth comb! Brushes make even the straightest, thinnest wet hair frizzy! (:

My natural hair is very similar to yours! I actually just tried a diffuser that you attach to your blow dryer and everyone at school commented that my hair looked healthier!(: it helped it dry fast and keep a little volume but kept the frizz under control.

I also use the garnier fructise sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner and it's helped my hair a lot!

Just like you, I have long curly hair that tends to dry-out and frizz. I used the Shielo Restoration OIl (applied to wet hair) helps retain the natural curl while adding deep shine and hydration. I have used Shielo's Oil daily for 6 weeks...and my hair looks so healthy!
