Maybe the violet in manic panic diluted with conditioner for the grey parts :)

It involves lots of bleach (for dark hair) and a silver/gray toner.

I just dyed over my grey hair, haha. I used Ion Color Brights in Titanium. The formula sucks so hard though, it feels like cement. The color looks pretty when you finish, but if you do buy it be sure to buy extra tubes. Ya need wayyyy more than you'd think since it's so thick. Excuse my face, but this is it in my hair

You could leave toning shampoo in your hair for a few hours and it'll have the same effect as dye.

If you want a more blue based silver/grey buy a blue toner not a purple one though.
