Hey girls, so I know I'm a moderator (and I should know everything lol), but I have some questions for you all! I've been pretty obsessed with glitter lately, and I have all kinds of thoughts and questions.
1. What are your favorites? Brands, colors etc.
2. How do you all apply it and prevent fallout? I use the Elf Professional Shader (because it's el cheapo and I don't mind that it's full of glitter now), but are there better methods? I'm kind of annoyed about getting glitter all over my face when I apply it to my eyes, so what do you guys suggest?
3. Are there any fun looks, ideas or techniques that I should know? I'd love any extra advice that you all have! Thank you ladies!

You can also diy them by cutting a sticky note into the shape or cutting a cotton face pad into the shape and taping it on.

Just because your moderator doesn't mean you should know everything. My
Favorite brand is cover girl eye shadows, and hard candy.
And I use the professional fall out shield, almost like what Symone have posted.
you can always use a spray to keep your glitter on longer. I use the Mac Fix and it works wonders.

Those are gorgeous, Symone! Jackie already told me about Shadow Shields, I'm definitely looking into them. Thanks :) and Mariam, I wasn't aware that Covergirl or Hard Candy had glitters, how's the quality? I also already use glitter glue from Too Faced, so I have no problems with longevity. Just wondering about fallout and application :)

Thanks Alma, ever helpful! I'm definitely going to look out for some LA Splash products. I actually really want a green shade of glitter, and that look is convincing me more and more! (Also, I cheat because I don't wear foundation, so it's not really that big a problem except that it makes me sad to waste product a bit, does that make sense?). thank you all so much for the advice!

I loooove lit glitters. they come with adhesive and a small brush. I never get fall out when using them. if I'm not using lit glitter I use a sticky eyeshadow with my finger and press it on my eyes lightly so the glitter sticks. I use the elf glitter applicator. its silicon so the glitter sticks to it and then just pat on eyes. tranfers beautifully without fall out :)

Well MAC makes glitter that comes in a jar that's like the pigments. If you're wanting opaque glitter on your eyes I'd just put a thin layer of lash glue. This is also helpful if you want to line your eyes with glitter. Like put glue on like eyeliner on your lid and put on some black glitter. I love gold for some reason and teal. I mean not together but those are the colors I like. If your just doing a little over some eyeshadow you'll get fallout but I usually just get some scotch tape and lightly put it on the areas with glitter and it gets it all off

I use Scotch tape too, and Traci told me to be careful with that as it can cause wrinkles :) I also have a glitter glue that is working really well for me, I find lash glue to be a bit plasticy, instead of sticky.

E.l.f. sells a fallout shield at target, I think it is $2. :)

How cool! I'm working with a glitter company right now. It's called Violet Voss and the glitter is very fine and they have a huge variety of colors. They also have their own glitter adhesive which is the best one I have ever tried. You should definitely look into them.
Ms Jackie knows about them also, I sent some her way.
In love with the glitter

Of course :) and I think I have some super old school Too Faced glitter, I'm definitely going to dig it out next time I'm home. I'll check out (read: buy everything) LA Splash when I'm in the mood for more colorful glitter. Thus far I have purple and navy glitter, but I'd love some more colors.

I cheer and we have to wear glitter, and to prevent fall out I put tape under my eyes and use a sealer by LA Colors

The brand might not be that but that is what I think it is.

I like the too faced glitter glue best too! eye lash glue makes it so thick and creasy. stila makes an applicator for their new foil shadows its like a rubbery thing so you don't have to worry about ruining a brush. Everyone else basically said how to fix the fallout but with glitter I don't think there is a way to avoid it completely.
