Usually, for me, it changes depending on what colors/styles of makeup I'm wearing. But I'll usually it'll be a shade of color in the same family as my lid, or a contrasting color :)

Both of mine are from MAC:
Texture - a great warm orangey/tan that will warm up the crease color and add more dimension. Perfect for dramatic smoky eyes...
Kid - a nice neutral for my skin tone to make a nice blend into a more day-time appropriate color.

Bamboo from MAC. I use this at the end to blend my lid color and highlight together so it looks well blended

More often than not I use my face powder, since it matches my skin.
MAC's Arena is my favourite shadow to use, but I also use Kid, Copperplate & Saddle quite frequently. Urban Decay's Naked has become a favourite also.

Depends on what palette or eyeshadows I'm using. It's usually a matte medium brown though. Lately I use MAC Brown Script a lot.

I agree with Soma. I love using Kid eyeshadow from MAC. It is the perfect color and I feel like I can use it with a variety of eyeshadow looks.

Dollie,
It depends on the look I am going for but I would have to say the top 2 transition colors that I use are Haux and Cork by MAC.

I either use 'Naked' from the UD Naked Palette, or there is a similar color in the Smashbox EyeWish Palette that I use occasionally. It just depends on which palette I happen to grab. :)

Haha... EVERYONE: Kid and Texture = OWNS! Those of you that have kid though... DEF check out Texture - for those dramatic purple/green/blue/black - heck, EVERY colored smokey eye, it's the best!
w/ greens - it stretches any browns or blacks you use in the crease.
w/ purples - orange/purple = complimentary. Really brings your look to life!
w/ blacks - it warms up the crease color and really deepens your crease
w/ blues - same as green qualities.
I <3 it to pieces. =)

Soma, I was just about to say the same thing. Texture is perfect for buffing out dramatic smokey eyes and making them look virtually seamless!
Texture definitely OWNS!

^Hahaha... *highfive* =P
It's kind of scary because it looks orange in the pan... or more of a dirty orange, and no one wants to look like an oompa loompa... [well, most anyways] so it is a bit scaryl... but for those w/ light - med. skin w/ yellow undertones, it's GREAT! =)
