Feather extensions?

I want to know all of the ups and downs on these, can you curl, straighten, wash them? ( I am getting them tomorrow )

Yes, I've seen many people with them and they curl, straighten and wash them. There may be certain brands that won't allow that but for the most part they do. Just check in with the brand just in case. Really easy to put it and remove so it doesn't damage hair, that's a huge plus! I've wanted feather extensions for awhile now but I haven't gotten the opportunity to get them haha.

Mine fell out the same day I got them :( When I got out of the shower I noticed they were a little lower in my hair than usual and then they all just kind of fell out. My stylist said if they fell out I could go get them put back in for free but, I never got around to it haha.

Where can i purchase feather hair extensions?

Most hair salons carry them now since they seem to be hot. Call around to some local salons and see if they have them. I know you can buy them online too but I"m not sure where.

I've had my feather extensions on June 25 and they are still kicking. I got them done at Salon Gloss in Port Moody, BC. They used an almost waxy adhesive that they rolled into my hair. It kind of reminded me of the stuff they use for dreadlocks I suppose. In any case it dried quite hard. I was told to be careful when combing and while showering & not put any conditioner on the area where the bond is. After getting outta the shower I was told to blowdry the bond and make sure its dry. I honestly did NONE of this. Ever. I treat it like a regular piece of hair and so far it has worked out for me. They are definately growing out along with my hair but I can get them removed anytime; free of charge. I can even keep them and put the back in when i wish. I enjoy them. They're great when you are having on of those days where you just dont want to do anything with your hair. Its a constant little spice up for your doo. I will post a picture of mine on my profile if you'd like to check them out. I paid $35 for two long real hand dyed rooster feathers (colored) they are still pretty hard to find here in Vancouver! I wish you luck with them they are super fun! Dont forget to post some pictures! Cheers! xo

@ Ally D. - if you live in the US you can purchase them on DoHairExtensions.com http://www.dohairextensions.com/ Their kit is $20 bucks and the feathers in packs of 5 (same colors) are $12.99. I believe Kandee Johnson has a video with their products and how to do it. You could also just purchase the tools from the site or even your local craft store and just purchase the silicone beeds and check out Etsy.com for the feathers =) Happy hunting!

Wow, feather extensions got so pricey. I bought mine on Etsy, assorted which was 10 for $20 but that was back in February.

I got them and I love them!
