Contouring is hard for some peeps! I think this breaks it down pretty well.

I can never get the false lash thing. It's hopeless. Boo.

Noooo....don't give up. There used to be a great tutorial on the MAC website, but they've since removed it. Booo....
Two things I do that aren't noted in the article I posted:
1) Use a liquid liner on the lash band prior to adhesive application (this disguises the band a bit better)
2) After the adhesive is applied, bend it a bit back and forth to get a better curve to the lash; makes matching it to your lashline easier.
Lex, I wish you lived in Chicago! I'd definitely wanna hang with you IRL.

I wish I lived in Chicago, too. I think we'd have a blast hanging out. AND! I really wanna try your pizzas. (>.<)" Hyuk!
Thanks for the lash tips. Though I think the problem may lie in my oily lids. The ends of the lashes always come off after a while or won't stick properly. I'll keep persevering though. A friend got me a few lashes from Shu Uemura a while ago that I've been meaning to try.

Shu Uemura - the Cadillac of lashes. So pretty! Keep trying!
Come to Chicago, lady!!!!!!!!!

I shall keep on trying! Yes, I will!
I think I'll have to take a really long ramble across the US one of these days. Right after Japan. And Europe. And India again. So many places to see, so little time... And money. I think I'm gonna cry now. *sniffle* Hee.

That's when you enlist all of your friends and family! Line 'em up and start eyelashing them - you'll be a pro in no time at all.

@Terra But I never got good at it... *SNIFF*
@Quiana We shall keep trying until we get it right! Right? Right!
@Kimberly Hmm... Good idea. Don't know if my friends would trust me to fiddle about with their faces, though. Untrusting gits. Tsk Tsk. I'll have to ambush a few then. No other way around it.

When applying lashes, always make sure the glue gets tacky. I've found this is the most important step. And if applying full lashes are difficult, start with half lashes until you feel more comfortable @ Quiana. In no time at all, you can cut 3/4 lash-strips and apply those, then full lash-lengths. Just a suggestion. Hope it helps.

Good tips here here, folks. Shall get them tweezers out and start ambushing folks now!
