Hi Andrew!
That's exciting to hear that you've been asked to be a featured writer. There are a couple of things I think would be helpful for you to do and keep up on in order to be up to date and to be polished.
The first thing is pay attention to your voice in the writing you do and make sure that everything is grammatically correct. You want to make sure that what you present looks as professional as possible as your voice is going to dictate what people take seriously.
In terms of trends, you really want to make sure you keep up to date by researching. A lot of what I research for trends comes from magazines, blogs, websites and general buzz. To be in the know, you have to make sure you really dive into it and read up on all things you are required to talk about. This takes a lot of time and research online especially. This can also be said about celebrities as well.

Well it's coming close to autum winter, which usualy consists of smokey eyes, fair brows and a berry lip or nude with ither heavy contor or hardly anything on the cheeks, very punk'esk. Smokey colours and Matte skin usualy are the trends for winter although sometimes theres the wet look skin x

congrats Andrew that is awesome and I agree with everything Jasmine said. I look at spelling and grammar and if there are errors, I exit out. I just like to read without having to decipher what one meant. Check out Grammarly.com and of course no pun intended.
