Simi,
This is price friendly, not heavy and it does not make my hair any more oily than normal. It works like a charm! Try the "got 2 B" Guardian Angel...you can find it at Ulta, most drugstores and even Wal-Mart....It works wonders! If you are looking for a more expensive heat protectant I would try the Chi 44 Iron Guard! Hope that helps you :)
XO

Hi Simi!
I have the same issue because I have an oily scalp and I use TRESemmé's Heat Tamer Spray. Its still light enough to not weigh down the hair and is fairly inexpensive. It also smells great! http://www.beautylish.com/p/tresemm-thermal-creations-heat-tamer-spray

Hair Spray--I LOVE the big sexy hair...literally you could hairspray your hair to stand up on your head and it would stay! totally worth the money!
